• CSR & ESG Leadership Award Silver and Empowerment Of Women Award Platinum at the 15th Global CSR & ESG Summit & Awards 2023.
• A series of prestigious awards for exemplary global CSR & ESG enterprises for the 2^nd consecutive year at the Global CSR & ESG Summit & Awards 2024 conference and award ceremony.

AgriS received a series of prestigious awards as an exemplary global CSR & ESG enterprise for the second consecutive year at the 16th Annual Global CSR & ESG Summit and Awards 2024.

• In the category of Sustainable Agriculture Award at the ESG Business Awards 2024 held in Singapore, honoring leading organizations in promoting comprehensive and sustainable development of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. AgriS is the only Vietnamese agricultural enterprise honored at the ESG Business Awards 2024 Singapore.

Sustainable development commitment - strengthening the responsible value chain

After 56 years of operation, AgriS has strengthened the “Responsible Value Chain” in all business and production operations by basing its core strategy on a green business foundation. AgriS has carried out a number of business and production projects that have produced useful results that fulfill commitments to sustainable development.

• Prioritize the use of biomass fuels, and biofuels to limit greenhouse gas emissions, while applying KPIs to reduce emissions in most production plants, setting a common goal for all plants to reduce emissions by 5% per year.
• Apply carbonation technology utilizing CO2 and lime in the production process to eliminate impurities. Consequently, CO2 produced during boiler combustion is captured and repurposed in production. The extraction rate is projected to capture approximately 9-12% of total emissions released into the environment.
• Allocate resources to achieve over 5,500 carbon credits in accordance with Verra’s VCS standards during the initial issuance year. We anticipate an increase to over 10,000 carbon credits annually in the forthcoming FY.
• Implement the AgriS Embrace Green Future Project – “10 Million Green Trees – Embrace Green Future” Program, which targets to plant from 800,000 to ~1.5 million trees per year, expected to absorb over 110,000 tons of CO2 by 2035 and accumulate in the future.
• Apply Bonsucro standards in production processes and product origin standards for all sugarcane farms in Tay Ninh and continue expanding sustainable standard sugarcane areas like Bonsucro.
• “Reduce Waste – Increase Income”; reduce material waste, exploit by-products, utilize the supply chain; save energy – save time – save each production step.
• Apply scientific advances, and research on plant nutrition, soil nutrition, and natural pest control methods for raw material areas, commercialize, and expand to other raw material areas.
• Fully exploit and enhance the crop value chain of sugarcane – coconut – banana – rice through the circular economy model, reusing raw materials in the production process to create new products, increasing revenue sources for both the locality and the company, while contributing to emission reduction and environmental protection.

The objective of the sustainable development strategy is to balance the environment and natural ecosystems, and the activities of AgriS clearly reflect the commitment to realizing the Environmental, Social, and Governance objectives for Stakeholders. With a consistent and overarching approach to sustainable development, AgriS leads the way in driving a sustainable agricultural economy, aligning with government goals, participating in global initiatives, and aiming for a Net Zero target by 2035.
