Participatory activities of local communities, impact assessments and development programmes
At TTC AgriS, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is more than a component of its business strategy; it is a core philosophy guiding all operations. The Company recognizes that sustainable national development can only be achieved when businesses actively contribute to a fair and stable society.
Maintaining a green business strategy to provide ecosystem- and environmentallyfriendly solutions, TTC AgriS committed to reaching Net Zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2035. This commitment reflected a strong dedication to sustainable development, inspiring positive change among like-minded
organizations and businesses.
During its journey of “Responsible Value Chain – 55 Years and Beyond,” TTC AgriS deeply embedded its spirit of responsibility and sharing through frequent and impactful activities. The Company actively supported communities through various eras and challenges, and partnered with the Government to address significant social and environmental issues with a strong sense of responsibility.
In FY 2023-2024, beyond enhancing the agricultural sector and ensuring global food security, TTC AgriS continued to implement frequent, impactful community support programs. Despite global economic fluctuations, the company’s CSR initiatives reached a total contribution of over 26 billion VND. This reflected TTC AgriS’s long-term commitment to advancing sustainable development within the community.
SWEET TET WITH TTC AGRIS: TTC AgriS’s annual charity program “Sweet Tet with TTC AgriS”, continued to be held aimed at bringing a warm and well-provisioned Tet celebration to those in difficult circumstances. Continuing this journey, in 2024, TTC AgriS organized the “Sweet Tet with TTC AgriS” program in provinces where the Company operates production, including Tay Ninh, Gia Lai, and Ninh Hoa, as well as in remote and distant island areas to the south of the nation.
COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE: On February 23rd, 2024, TTC AgriS organized a charitable medical check-up and treatment program for over 500 disadvantaged residents in Ninh Hiep, Ninh Hoa, Khanh Hoa, with the aim of helping those facing hardship and special circumstances overcome their challenges and experience added joy during Tet.
PROMPT WATER SUPPL: Building on its community support efforts, TTC AgriS’s initiative to deliver clean water to local areas reflected its commitment to standing by residents as they face the challenges of drought and saltwater intrusion during the 2023-2024 dry season, especially in the Mekong Delta region. In April and May 2024, the peak months of saltwater intrusion, TTC AgriS deployed a total of ten 30m³ water tankers to help residents cope with the adverse weather conditions and the scarcity of fresh water for daily use.
INCLUSIVE EDUCATION: Throughout the past year, TTC AgriS awarded hundreds of scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds to encourage their academic pursuits and foster a spirit of perseverance across various aspects.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: On April 11th, 2024, TTC AgriS, Australasia Social Impact Foundation (ASIF Foundation), and Vietnam Youth Federation – Ho Chi Minh City signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in repairing and building new 50 standard school community buildings in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta region. This initiative reflected the Company’s goal to invest in school infrastructure that ensures student health and a safe learning environment. With a contribution of 21 billion VND, TTC AgriS demonstrates its commitment to enhancing educational and development conditions for students. The program will continue through 2024-2025, and will focus on infrastructure improvements and organizing skills training for students.
TTC AGRIS 10 MILLION TREES - EMBRACE GREEN FUTURE: To realize its publicly announced Net Zero 2035 roadmap, TTC AgriS implemented various environmental initiatives on a multinational scale, which includes the use of 100% biomass fuel from 2025, combined with a 5% greenhouse gas reduction per year from the Sugar Production, Fertilizer, and Agriculture sectors. Among them, the project to plant 10 million trees was officially launched by TTC AgriS on December 7th, 2023, and will be implemented synchronously until 2030. The number of trees was allocated from 800 thousand to ~2 million trees per year, with an estimated absorption of over 110,000 tons of CO2 by 2035 and continued accumulation in the future. TTC AgriS has carefully selected and ensured the suitability of 9 types of trees for the climate and soil conditions in each region, while also providing economic value to the local areas (such as Acacia hybrid, Melaleuca, Eucalyptus, Dalbergia, Dalbergia oliveri, Aquilaria). The plan to monitor the planting progress and growth journey is also strictly implemented to optimize the CO2 absorption capacity of the trees (including regular tree health checks, reporting growth parameters, and onsite image materials). By the end of FY 2023-2024, TTC AgriS planted over 20.000 new trees across regions where the Company operates and its material areas in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
TTC AGRIS - POWER RACING: The TTC AgriS – Power Racing 2024 event, with the message “Run Together – Run For Green” successfully took place on August 4th, 2024 in Tay Ninh, which gathered more than 3,000 professional and amateur runners from all over the country. Specifically, for every 5km completed by the runners, TTC AgriS committed to planting one tree in the material areas under the “TTC AgriS: 10 Million Trees – Embrace Green Future” program. This year’s race recorded a total of 10,000 trees planted, which continued the Company’s cross-border greening initiative by spreading to the community to contribute to a green
and healthy Vietnam and a sustainable agriculture sector.
As declared by the Chair of TTC AgriS, in the decades ahead, TTC AgriS will remain a vital part of Vietnam’s agricultural sector, and will contribute to sustainable national development through its strengths in high-tech circular agriculture, food supply, and robust CSR activities. Beginning the next phase of its “Responsible Value Chain – 55 Years and Beyond” journey, TTC AgriS is guided by a deep understanding of societal needs and a commitment to comprehensive nutritional health for global consumers. With steadfast CSR efforts, transparent business objectives, and a multi-sector brand vision, TTC AgriS is committed to continuing to create meaningful impacts that foster prosperity for all stakeholder.
